I remember thinking I wanted to be an accountant: good pay, strong job prospects, low risk of being outsourced. But there was always a quiet voice in the back of my head and gut asking, “Can you do this for 40 years?” — and over time, it got harder to ignore.

I was never fully me in that role. I was just… getting through the day, often too tired to really enjoy life afterward. And I started to notice that same tiredness in other professionals — successful, accomplished, but carrying fatigue in their bones. They lived to work. And when work stopped, they didn’t always know who they were without it.

I didn’t want that.

If I was going to be tired, I wanted it to be a good tired — the kind that comes from helping people carry their load, rediscover their direction, and build lives they don’t need to escape from.

That realization is what led me from accounting into coaching. And today, helping others work to live — not live to work — energizes me most.

That realization eventually led me to executive coaching.

Today, I am building a practice centred on guiding professionals out of autopilot and into intentional decision-making. My work invites people to reconnect with their instincts so their choices feel aligned rather than pressured.

My accounting background still matters. It gives me a real understanding of the pressures and expectations finance professionals face.
