The Ninth Wave Coaching Framework

Clarity of Direction

Alignment Between Intellect and Instinct

Strategic Career Transitions

Many professionals, especially finance professionals, reach a point where their career looks successful on the outside but feels misaligned internally. This pillar focuses on providing career development coaching to help leaders pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters in the next stage of their professional journey. Through structured reflection and strategic questioning, clients gain clarity about where they are, where they want to go, and what kind of intentional career transitions feel genuinely aligned.

Strategic Career Transitions

Alignment Between Intellect and Instinct

Strategic Career Transitions

Career transitions are rarely just tactical decisions — they are identity shifts. We provide career development coaching specifically designed for finance professionals, helping them navigate transitions such as leadership changes, career pivots, or new professional chapters with a structured and thoughtful approach. Our focus is on making intentional career transitions, moving forward with purpose rather than simply reacting to pressure or external expectations.

Alignment Between Intellect and Instinct

Professionals trained in analytical environments, such as finance professionals, often rely heavily on logic while disconnecting from their intuition. This pillar of career development coaching helps clients integrate analytical thinking with instinctive judgment, enabling them to make decisions that are both strategically sound and personally aligned. The result is a deeper sense of confidence and internal coherence, essential for intentional career transitions.

Leadership Presence

Sustainable Professional Growth

Alignment Between Intellect and Instinct

Leadership is not only about competence — it is about how others experience your presence. This pillar supports career development coaching by helping clients cultivate the clarity, communication, and composure necessary to lead with calm authority and credibility. This is particularly important for finance professionals coaching, especially when navigating intentional career transitions in high-pressure professional environments.

Reflective Decision-Making

Sustainable Professional Growth

Sustainable Professional Growth

In complex careers, particularly for finance professionals, the biggest decisions rarely have obvious answers. Through our career development coaching, we help professionals break free from reactive decision cycles and cultivate a reflective process. This allows them to evaluate opportunities with greater awareness and perspective, leading to intentional career transitions. Ultimately, this approach results in decisions that are thoughtful, sustainable, and aligned with long-term goals.

Success without sustainability often leads to burnout or loss of direction. This pillar focuses on career development coaching that creates a professional path balancing ambition with well-being. By helping finance professionals coaching navigate intentional career transitions, we enable clients to build careers that are not only successful but also sustainable over time.

My Background

Hi, my name is Frederick — and I’m really glad you made it here.

I spent years building a successful career in public accounting, learning to navigate complex problems and high expectations with clarity and discipline. Over time, however, I began to notice a quieter question many professionals face but rarely explore: whether success on the outside truly reflects

what they want moving forward.

Today, I combine my experience in finance with a calm, reflective coaching approach that helps professionals step out of autopilot, reconnect with their instincts, and make more intentional decisions about

the next stage of their careers.

The Ninth Wave Philosophy

Golden Celtic wave design inside a hexagon frame.

In Celtic tradition, the Ninth Wave was believed to mark the threshold to the Otherworld, the Land of Youth. It was the last and greatest wave — the most formidable one, the one sailors feared most, the one you had to cross in order to reach the other side.

You can get to the land of rest and renewal — but first, you must make it through nine waves.

It’s not always the first, second, or third time we fall that we see transformation. More often, growth reveals itself only after we have endured longer than seems fair, after we have kept going without visible proof that anything is changing.

The hardest lesson we need to learn, and keep learning, is that strength does not come from being infallible. It comes from falling down and getting back up. From learning how to endure.

That is why the old story of the ninth wave stayed with me.

When growing, bamboo takes three to five years before it ever breaks through the surface. But when it does, it can grow up to three feet a day. If you stop watering it during those early years, though, you may never see that growth at all.

When I was thinking about what core tenet should shape my practice, and what to name it, that story came back to me. Because growth is worth failing for.
